Central to the Genesis system is a secure terminal that allows authorized users to record day-to-day inventory activity. all updates are recorded locally and replicated to a secure encrypted management database, either locally or on a wide area network.
The management server can be accessed either locally (LAN) or over the internet via a standard TCP/IP network or GSM modem (WAN), facilitating regular updates to and from the terminal device to the management server. The management server and terminals sync data at regular intervals, allowing changes or activity on the terminal to be transmitted to the management server and vice versa.
The Genesis Portal allows local or on-line access to the management server, as well as individual Genesis Terminals. Access is controlled by the management database and user roles determine what levels of functionality an individual or group of users can have within the entire Genesis system.
All Terminals can be managed, minimum/maximum stock levels adjusted and reports generated. Genesis Dashboards enable the user to see the status of all the Genesis locations from an individual PC.
