

Genesis is designed to complement existing ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP by controlling non BOM (bill of material) stock items such as consignment stock or stock used in a carousel storage system.
Genesis is designed to both receive and send data to the ERP system when required. Genesis exploits the benefit of Cloud Computing to provide a wide range of services in real-time that can be accessed from anywhere in the world through a browser based Genesis Portal. The Genesis system has a minimal IT installation requirement which drastically reduces cost and the time required for implementation. Consignment or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) stock is a difficult area for ERP systems to control as the stock, while being used by the customer, belongs to the vendor.
An ERP system is designed to control its “own” stock and not items that are outside the ERP system or the Bill of Materials (BOM). Genesis can solve this problem by using a combination of physical stock storage systems with secure access, barcode scanning and Genesis software that manages the whole process.
As per the SaaS business model Genesis is provided on a monthly basis so there is no large capital outlay and installation is very simple as data can be sent from the “Cloud” directly to each Genesis location and no concerns about your software becoming out of date.
